Jewelry Care

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY JEWELRY?

We recommend storing your Hearts & Wires Collective pieces in the jewelry pouch they ship in. Store each piece individually to avoid scratching. The jewelry pouches are also great to use while traveling to protect your jewelry.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY JEWELRY?

We suggest you remove your jewelry while showering, swimming and exercising. Please avoid contact with perfumes, lotions or hair products as they contain chemicals and oils that can increase the wear on your pieces. Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, oil, jewelry cleaners, or polishing cloths, this can affect the finishing.

CAN I SHOWER OR SWIM WITH MY JEWELRY?

For best care, do not shower or swim with your items. Keep them in a cool dry place and remove before bathing.

MY JEWELRY IS TURNING COLOR, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

Every person’s unique skin oils react differently to certain metals and plating. We are not responsible for your skin's reaction to our products. Gold- and silver-plated jewelry will turn naturally over time, and there is no way to reverse this. You can prolong the life of your Hearts & Wires Collective pieces by following our care recommendations.

WHAT SHOULD I USE TO CLEAN MY JEWELRY?

For best cleaning, we recommend using a flannel cotton cloth to polish the jewelry to avoid scratching.

Corset Care

HOW TO WASH AND CARE?

FIRST

Every time you take off your corset, air it out. Simply hang the product on the back of a chair or lay it out on a drying rack.

SECOND

If possible, entrust the care of your favorite thing to professionals. dry cleaners will take care of the corset! Just warn about important nuances: the corset needs only dry (not wet) cleaning and gentle products.

THIRD:

If the dry cleaning option is not yet suitable, or you only need to remove small dirt, choose a hand wash. It's quite simple! Unlace your corset completely. Pour cool water into a basin. The water temperature should not be higher than 30-40°. It is not advisable to soak the corset, maximum - for 10-15 minutes, no longer! Use gentle products: soap or liquid powder. After a gentle wash, rinse the corset in cool water to remove any remaining detergent. Remove the corset and wrap it in a dry towel to absorb excess moisture. Lay the corset unfolded on a horizontal surface for 3-4 hours until completely dry.

FOURTH:

Sheer mesh corsets usually do not require additional care, but if necessary, iron it at a temperature setting for synthetic fabrics. The rules for ironing a corset are the same as for its main fabric. use cheesecloth to avoid iron marks on your product.

Ready! You can continue to wear a corset, enjoying your reflection in the mirror!
